How We Guested on Over 300 Podcasts


In 2020, I booked the Bonjoro CEO, CMO, and myself on over 200 podcasts. These podcasts became our company's central growth lever, pushing us to over 40,000 users and adding $28,000 MRR (Monthly recurring revenue), or $336,000/year in new customer revenue directly from podcasts.

Because this is only direct attribution traffic from the podcasts, it is highly probable that the actual boost in MRR was even higher (I would guess 20-30%).

To date in 2022, we have generated over a million dollars in revenue that is directly attributable to being a guest on podcasts. 


Most podcast booking agencies if you look online will charge $250-$500/podcast and book only up to 3-4 podcasts a month.

Most of the agencies will not be able to get you on anything ranked in the top 5% of podcasts.

So instead of $0 (what we spent, just my time), 200 podcasts would have run us $100,000. 


One of the enduring and powerful aspects of doing hundreds of podcasts is the relationships and network. Not only did these podcasts become our third largest attribution source of paid accounts, but nearly half of them continued to work with us on an ongoing basis. Some became partners, some did collaborations with us, some became users, some introduced us to other podcasts. The long-term benefits of podcast guesting are immense.
